Author Stephen Reid was turned into an addict by a predatory pediatrician. Stephen was never the same, couldnt adjust, and wound up as one of the denizens of Vancouver’s notorious Eastside where he became a notorious bankrobber. While spending most of his life in prison, Reid honed his writing skills. With the publication of this 130-page book of essays, he was awarded the 2013 Victoria Book Award. His writing is smart and edgey, he will make you think and laugh and cry. An amazing story. The book itself suffered some water damage, thus I listed its condition as “Fair.”
