Seller Description
Esther Earl was a bright light in this world that deserved to grow up. She was the inspiration behind John Green's novel fault in the stars. Get the kleenex and chocolate ready before you read that book. I still cry about that book years later. This is a cool book with stars on the corner of each page and it's chock full of colorful pictures and sketches and drawings. Basically Esther Earl's diary. Her name actually means star in persian. Sadly, the little star was diagnosed with thyroid cancer just a year before turning 13 here but she was always so positive and cheerful. Sadly, she passed away at the age of 16 years old, but she never let her light go out. Her family started an organization and her honor to help other families going through the same pain. 431 pages. This is an ex-library edition. Published by penguin in 2014. I would have loved to read this book, but I think I would just start crying. She definitely seems like someone I would totally be friends with in high school. This book is definitely her diary. It's a collection of all kinds of letters and text messages and Skype chat rooms and I would have loved to see what her life could have been. But she seemed to have a very full life she spread a lot of joy while she was here. Cancer sucks. Fly high, Esther👼🏼🧸. Ex-library book in plastic.
