His multi-lingual book, "El Camino to Jarales; Purgatorial Confessions with Don Manuel" lays out the culture of the Sanchez who migrated as soldiers-of-the cross to colonize La Nueva Galicia which is now New Mexico. Don Manuel's confessions speak of the hardships, sorrows and joys endured in taming a hostile territory. The book is in good shape, only minor wear in the corners of the cover. There’s an annotation on the opening cover portion “179”, but I’m assuming that’s the number of the copy that was autographed by the author. No other annotations exist.
