although Misty cashing and her family are swept up by the wave of auntie Japanese settlement following the attack Pearl harbor Mitzi never expects to lose her home or her beloved dog - but as war rages and people of Japanese descendants are forced into incarceration camp they were much like the concentration camps that the Nazis forced my descendants and Germany. the calf is crowded and unfamiliar place whose Dusty floor seemingly endless lines and barbed wire fences begin to unravel the strong cushionable family ties with the help of friendly neighbor back home Mitzi remains content and connected to dash in spite of the hard times holding on to the hope that the war will end soon life will return to normal they have lost their home with a cashimus also lose their sense of family and will Mitzi and dash ever be reunited doesn't that sound good. hate in this war was when the Japanese bomb Pearl harbor hate her took on a different format than it had with the Nazis the Germans because I hate to say it but people love to hate people who are different than they are who look different than they are we face that when we were bombed in 2001 some people took it to heart that and remembered history and how horrible it was for Americans who had been here for up to 200 years Japanese Americans Chinese Americans who came and built the railroads of this country with a sweat of their brow and some giving their lives everybody should read this book thank you.
