What exactly is a brown dwarf? How many galaxies are in the universe? What could aliens look like? How many moons does Neptune have? These questions, and hundreds more, are all answered in National Geographic's newest edition of Space Encyclopedia: A Tour of Our Solar System and Beyond.  This book is so full of knowledge that it's actually a little overwhelming. I tried to think of something NatGeo had left out, but I honestly couldn't come up with anything. Instead, I learned there is A LOT about space that I knew nothing about. Also, the photographs are AMAZING. When I first went through this large hardbound book, I didn't even read anything; I just drank the pictures in. Space Encyclopedia shares info about all the planets and major asteroids in our solar system. It talks about their mountains, craters, storms, and moons. It also teaches about awesome space phenomena like globular clusters, the galactic zoo, colliding galaxies, and basically everything else possible that is in space. This book has nothing offensive in it and can be a wonderful addition to any home library for older children through adults. Review written by Elizabeth Reid
