Seller Description
This book is a First Edition, First Printing of the sequel to The St. Nicholas Anthology. Published in 1950, it is not, as you may suppose at first glance, related to Christmas in any way. It contains a collection of stories, poems, and drawings from The St. Nicholas Magazine, which was the premiere children’s magazine in the late 1800s until 1941. Some of the notable names that contributed to the stories collected in this book are Mark Twain, Louisa May Alcott, and Emily Dickinson. Plus many more that our grandparents probably knew.
